Body

Here at Dr.Monica Scheel Dermatology & Refresh by Dr.Monica, we use a variety of Non-surgical body sculpting procedures to reduce pockets of stubborn fat. We specialize in treating the whole body from that double chin you hate to giving your booty a lift and toning the abs to calves with the latest & to date non-surgical, low downtime procedures to help you shape and contour your body.

Kybella

Kybella is the only FDA-approved non-surgical treatment that contours and improves the appearance of a double chin (submental fullness) and jawline. Kybella can also be used off-label to treat Jowls, abdominal fat, and stubborn bra fat.

Kybella is a non-surgical quick treatment that is customized to fit your goals. Kybella is a naturally occurring molecule already present in your body (deoxycholic acid) that aids in the breakdown and absorption of dietary fat. When injected into the fat beneath your chin, Kybella causes the destruction of fat cells. Once destroyed, these cells cannot store or accumulate fat.

Most patients respond to just two or three treatments with no further injections necessary. They report more confidence and satisfaction with the appearance of their face and chin. Once the chin profile is improved, the patient will not need to be treated with Kybella again.

QWO for Cellulite

We are excited to announce an injectable treatment for cellulite on the buttocks!

Qwo, the first and only FDA-approved injectable for cellulite, is clinically proven to reduce cellulite. Qwo, collagenase clostridium histolyticum-aaes, targets the structural cause of cellulite under the skin. Qwo works in 3 ways by releasing fibrous bands, redistributing fat cells, and stimulating the growth of new collagen. This quick procedure offers a non-surgical approach to improving cellulite with little downtime. We recommend a series of 3 treatments separated by 3 weeks for optimal results.

Sculpsure

Even with diet and exercise, most adults have stubborn areas of fat that seem impossible to get rid of. Now we finally have an innovative device called Sculpsure a FDA-approved non-invasive body contouring system to permanently eliminate fat cells. Sculpsure is a non-invasive lipolysis of the chin (submental) area, abdomen, love handles (flanks), back, inner thighs and outer thighs.

The 1060nm wavelength specifically targets adipose (fat) tissue, coupled with minimal absorption in the dermis, allows SculpSure to efficiently treat areas of troublesome fat in just 25 minutes per treatment. Studies have shown up to 24% of fat cells can be destroyed in the treated area. Results can be seen as quickly as 6 weeks and optimal results usually seen in as few as 12 weeks.
