PDO THREAD
Threads
Threads are a type of PDO (polydioxanone) thread. These absorbable sutures are used to smooth fine lines and wrinkles and lift the skin. These threads are commonly used in surgical procedures and are dissolved by the skin in 4 to 6 months without creating scar tissue. Threads stimulate collagen and may last up to 1 year. We offer two types of Threads, firming threads or lifting threads, depending on your concerns.
Firming Threads
This quick procedure requires no downtime and offers immediate results. The firming threads are best for softening wrinkles and addressing skin laxity. They can be used anywhere on the body. Some of the common areas we treat are “comma” lines above the brows, smile lines and wrinkles in the lower face, and neck lines. Results are immediate but continue to improve over time as collagen is stimulated. For best results we recommend a series of 3 treatments placed 8-12 weeks apart.
Lifting Threads
Novalyft threads are utilized to gently lift the skin giving a natural non-surgical facelift. This procedure requires minimal downtime and provides instant and lasting results. Read the pre and post-care here. The lifting threads lift and reposition skin as well as stimulate collagen. They can be used along the jawline for jowls, cheeks to lift the lower face, eyebrows for sagging eyelids, and dropped eyebrows and under the chin to lift the neck. Results can last 12-18 months.
