2016 PATH Runs

On October 2, Dr. Scheel and some of our staff volunteered and participated in the PATH 5k/10k race in Kailua-Kona.  There were over 400 participants in the Ali’i Drive event, including people from all over the world who were in town for the Ironman World Championships.  The event was a fundraiser for PATH (Peoples Advocacy for Trails Hawaii) for their bicycle safety program.  PATH works with the Hawaii State & County, local leaders, and you to safely connect people and places on Hawaii island with bikeways, sidewalks and pathways. Dr. Scheel is the board president of PATH and this year she sponsored the Keiki Dash.  She also sponsored her staff and a guest to participate in the 5k/10k and four of our team made it into the top three in their age groups! Our team also volunteered helping with food prep and registration before the event as well as clean-up afterwards.  It was a fun morning for all volunteering, running, walking and raising funds for a good cause! 2016 PATH Runs E1476148326770
