Congratulations to Alyssa and Vicki on completing their Dermatology Tech certifications!
Dr. Scheel’s ohana prides themselves on being the best that we can be in “Expert Personalized Skin Care”. We strive to achieve up to date certifications, stay on the cutting edge and provide ongoing continuing medical education. The Association of Certified Dermatology Techs (ACDT) was created to provide education and certification to those working in the supportive roles of clinical dermatology. We are in the process of getting all of our support staff certified in Dermatology. We hope this comes to you, as better, more knowledgeable care by our staff!
The extensive course has 42 modules that contain informational video slides as well as challenging tests after each video. Each module pertains to a vital part of dermatology from skin structure and function to the principles of cosmetics. Not only do you have to complete all the modules and tests, you have to go through a thorough training in a dermatology practice. Working directly with a Board Certified Dermatologist for 6 months, getting checked off on various skill sets, gives you the Certification.
